This timely DVD features a one-of-a-kind interview with Jan & Dean's Dean Torrence. Filmed in his living room, Torrence takes you down memory lane, talking about everything from the early development of the Jan & Dean sound, the realization of their Drag City LP, the duo's ill-fated TV Pilot, and his emergence as an important graphic artist designing album covers for colleagues in the music industry. Musical montages, rare photos, and Dean's first-hand account of discovering Steve Martin are included. An additional bonus is Peggy Howell, the proprietor of Huntington Beach's "The Gallery HB," giving us a tour of Dean's artwork which is featured at the gallery.
Also included on the DVD are interviews with the Surf City Allstars' Gary Griffin, David Logeman and Philip Bardowell.
